The Howard Johnson Inn is located in the heart of St. Augustine’s beautiful downtown Historic District, directly in front of the world renowned Ponce de Leon’s “Fountain of Youth”. It is the only hotel included on the route of the Old Town Trolleys and the sightseeing trains as they cruise through our grounds to view magnificent “Old Senator”, a 600 years-old live Oak tree, which stands as a silent witness to Don Juan Ponce de Leon’s discovery and naming of the continent “La Florida” in 1513

Many of St. Augustine’s most popular attractions and finest restaurants are but a few steps away, including Mission of Nombre de Dios, the site where Don Pedro Menendez de Aviles, founded our fair city in 1565; The Old Jail; Florida Heritage Museum; and the Planetarium at the Fountain of Youth. Several two, three and four diamond restaurants are also within one mile radius.

Reservation Policies:

 Occupancy

·          All guests registering must be 18 years of age or older and must present identification upon check-in.

·          Check-in time:  3:00 PM. Check-out time: 12 Noon.

·          Occupancy may be restricted by local ordinance. Generally, a room with one bed may be occupied by one or two persons. A room with two beds may be occupied by no more than four persons. If your party consists of five or more, an additional room or rooms must be rented to accommodate the additional people.

·          An infant may be added to the total number of persons permitted in rooms, provided that the Manager has a portable crib available, which is adequate for the weight of the infant.  

Room Payment / Advance Payment 

• Room charges are paid at registration or by 12Noon in advance of each subsequent night's stay.
• Payment may be made with cash, traveler's check or with credit card (American Express, Discover, MasterCard or VISA).
• Advance payments may be made with cash, credit card, or traveler's check. Checks (personal, business or organization) must be received 21 days prior to the arrival date. Third party credit cards are are accepted with credit card autorization form.

Individual Reservations - Guarantee & Cancel Policies

·          Reservations can be made by calling our Reservations Center at 904-824-6181 or 800-575-5290  or online at the website www.staugustinehojo.com     If guaranteed with your credit card, your reservation will be held all night for your arrival.

·          If it becomes necessary to cancel a reservation which you have sent in payment or guaranteed with your credit card, you must notify the hotel prior to 24 hours of arrival date and receive a cancellation number.  If you do not cancel your guaranteed reservation, your credit card will be charged for the first night and the remainder of the reservation will be cancelled (if more than 1 night).      

Special Requests

Howard Johnson Inn will make every effort to honor special requests (such as nonsmoking, smoking, poolside, etc) when you reserve a room. However, the availability of these requests cannot be guaranteed in advance. Special requests will not be guaranteed by a reservation agent.  

Cancellation Policy

If cancellation is necessary, to avoid billing, you must receive a cancellation number minimum of 24 hours prior to arrival.
